Custom Presentation Folders
Custom Presentation Folders for Sales Kits and Documents
Plan the Folder Around the Contents
A presentation folder should hold the documents, cards, brochures, samples, or inserts that a customer actually receives. Begin with finished sheet sizes, page count, paper thickness, and the order in which materials are handed over. A folder that is too tight can curl pages; one that is too loose can make a carefully prepared kit feel disorganized.
Choose a single pocket, two-pocket, gusseted, accordion, or custom die-cut structure according to the contents. Tell us whether the folder will be mailed, carried into a meeting, placed at a trade show, or stored in a sales cabinet. Those conditions affect board, closure, spine, and pocket depth.
• Two-pocket folders for proposals and brochures
• Business-card slits for sales and event kits
• Gussets for thicker sample sets
• Tabbed or branded folders for internal presentations
Pocket, Spine, and Insert Details
Pocket height and angle determine how easily documents can be inserted and removed. A business-card slot, CD or sample opening, slits, or a glued pocket can be added when the contents justify it. Provide the actual insert dimensions so features do not cover an important logo, table, or signature area.
If the folder contains several paper stocks, fabric swatches, product cards, or a small sample, describe the complete thickness and weight. The finished structure should be reviewed for closing, carrying, and storage. A generic letter-size template is not a substitute for measuring the complete kit.
Print and Information Hierarchy
The cover is often the first customer touchpoint, while inside panels can explain services, organize a proposal, or guide a sales conversation. Full-color print, spot colors, photography, illustration, foil, embossing, and matte or gloss finishes can be coordinated with the board and intended audience.
Keep names, dates, contact details, pricing, legal copy, QR codes, and variable sales information in clear areas away from folds and pocket overlaps. If multiple teams use the folder, establish a shared visual system and identify which panels change between campaigns or territories.
Folders for Meetings, Events, and Mail
A folder for a sales meeting may prioritize quick access to a proposal and business card. An event kit may need a brochure, response card, and product sheet in a compact format. A mailed folder may need an outer envelope or mailer and should be reviewed with the complete filled weight and carrier route.
For a packaged sample or promotional item inside the kit, compare custom counter display boxes when point-of-sale presentation is also needed. If documents travel with a product, custom packaging sleeves may coordinate the outer identity. Do not assume a folder itself provides parcel protection.
