Custom Paper Shopping Bags

Custom Paper Shopping Bags with Your Brand Printed

Size the Bag Around the Purchase

A shopping bag should fit the purchase without making the customer carry unnecessary empty space. Measure the widest and tallest item, then account for tissue, folded apparel, boxed products, bottles, handles, and the number of items likely to be packed together. A boutique bag, food pickup bag, and event favor bag may each need a different base and gusset.

Share whether the bag will be packed at a retail counter, handed to a restaurant customer, used for a gift, or placed into a delivery carrier. The loading method affects the opening, handle clearance, paper choice, and the amount of branding that remains visible after the bag is filled.

• Retail bags for boutiques, apparel, beauty, gift, and specialty shops

• Kraft bags for natural, handmade, and casual brand directions

• Paper bags for restaurant pickup, catering, and event programs

• Coordinated sizes for small, medium, and larger customer purchases

Paper, Gusset, and Handle Choices

Kraft and white paper create different visual bases for the same logo and color system. A gusset can increase usable width, while a flat bottom can help the bag stand during packing and display. Twisted paper, flat paper, ribbon, or another handle direction can be considered around the unit weight, carry distance, and brand feel.

The bag should be specified around the actual purchase rather than only an outside dimension. Tell us whether the customer will carry bottles, boxed products, folded clothing, food containers, or gift items. If the bag is placed inside a larger shipping carton, review the complete pack-out with custom corrugated shipping boxes.

Printing and Retail Visibility

A logo can remain visible on one or more panels, while a larger all-over design can turn the bag into a moving brand impression after checkout. One- or two-color ink printing may suit a simple mark, and full-color printing can support photography, patterns, seasonal art, or a more detailed retail system. Keep important details away from the bottom fold, handle attachment, and areas hidden by the product.

Plan the bag with the customer’s approach direction in mind. The strongest side may face a sidewalk, counter, event table, or camera during pickup. Include a website, QR code, social handle, store location, or care message only when it supports the customer experience and remains legible at the finished size.

Boutique, Restaurant, and Event Use

Boutiques may need a polished bag that carries apparel or gift boxes, while restaurants may prioritize an easy opening, a stable base, and compatibility with food containers. Event and corporate programs may need a logo, date, sponsor mark, or a bag that holds several smaller items. These uses should not be combined into one generic specification without checking the product load and packing method.

If the bag holds food or a product with direct contact, the paper, coating, liner, and use conditions need a product-specific review. A printed shopping bag is not automatically a food-contact package. Your team should approve all material, handling, and disposal language for the finished bag.
